OFM offers Payroll Deduction Capabilities to some of your Favorite Non-Profit Organizations
The Office of Financial Management is providing Johnson County employees with the opportunity to contribute through payroll deduction to any of the five Johnson County non-profit organizations. These organizations include Friends of Johnson County Developmental Supports, Friends of Johnson County Mental Health Center, Inc., Friends of Johnson County Museums, Johnson County Library Foundation, and the Med-Act Employee Association.
Past contributions to these organizations via payroll deduction have only been available through the County’s annual United Way drive. That option is still available, however, there are two advantages if you participate in the County’s payroll deduction program. First, 100% of your donation is received by the non-profit organization. If donating through United Way, a percent of the donation is withheld to cover administrative services at United Way. Second, employees can begin, stop, or add to their contributions to these agencies at any time throughout the year!
The flat deduction amounts are deducted biweekly from employee’s gross pay, and deductions will begin the first pay date in 2005. To obtain a JOCO Non-Profit 501 Deduction Authorization Form, visit the OFM web site at http://ofm.ad.jocogov.org/ and select Payroll, then Forms.
Remember, even a modest payroll deduction can help these agencies provide vital services and gives you the convenience of spreading your contribution over the entire year. To learn more about these organizations contact the hosting department’s designated representative mentioned below:

ALSO, in February 2005, employees will be given the convenience of a payroll deduction option to the Johnson County Parks & Recreation’s Athletic Training Center. Stay tuned for additional information in the coming weeks!
