
The Board of County Commissioners, recognizing the importance of balancing the interests of the public, the tradition devoted to honoring and celebrating dates of recognition, and the importance of family time, has designated 9 fixed, standard holidays and 3 flexible, personal holidays to be observed annually (not to exceed a total of 12 holidays per year). An additional fixed holiday will be observed when December 24 occurs on a Monday or December 26 occurs on a Friday; in those years, employees will receive 2 flexible, personal holidays.
All regular, full-time employees are eligible for holiday pay. Procedures related to holidays are available in Personnel Policy #504.
