New Benefit Opportunity

The Jonson County Benefits Division’s goal is to offer a full range of benefits and education that will take you through life’s many adventures.

At times of increasing costs associated with providing employee benefits, Johnson County KS Government has recently formed a partnership with the Dignity Memorial Bereavement Program.  Dignity Memorial has the largest network of funeral, cremation and cemetery service providers throughout the United States.  Enrollment is not required for you to take advantage of the benefits.  You simply provide proof of your affiliation with Johnson County Government either before or at your time of loss in order to receive the savings and benefits.

Effective August 1, 2009, this program will be available to all active and retired employees and their families.  The Dignity Memorial Bereavement Program was chosen to assist in meeting your needs during a time of death in your own family and to help you and your loved ones make important decisions when planning for the future.

Your new benefits through the Dignity Memorial Bereavement Program include:

For the first 90 days of this program (through October 31, 2009), Dignity Memorial is also offering all Johnson County Government employees an additional 5% discount on all prearranged plans for a total of 15% discount.  Taking advantage of this special offer not only provides a substantial discount, but also locks in the price for services that hopefully will not be used until many years in the future.  You can give your family the gift of peace of mind knowing that “everything is taken care of”.

Facing the death of a loved one can be one of the most difficult ties your family will ever face.  If you have any questions or wish to receive information regarding prearrangement options for your funeral and cremation needs please contact Heidi Vieira.  Heidi is the Greater Kansas City Dignity Memorial Bereavement Program Coordinator.   Heidi can be reached at (913) 782-0582 or Heidi.vieira@sci-us.com .  For more information about the Dignity Memorial Network or to locate a provider near you or another family member, please call (888) 615-2277 or visit www.DignityMemorial.com .
